And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edward Penn!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.


It looks like Mark Steiner has been cut.
Steiner takes one to the chin there.

Steiner shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Penn manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Penn slaps away a takedown attempt from Steiner, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Steiner fails with the takedown.
Mark Steiner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Steiner looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Penn lands a head shot.

Steiner shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Penn napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Steiner goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Penn has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Steiner but great work by Penn.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Penn connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Steiner's hands.
Steiner shoots in for a takedown but Penn shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Penn bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Steiner gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Penn scores with a nice strike.
Steiner takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Penn stuffs the takedown.
Penn throws an overhand right that drops Steiner like a sack of potatoes! Penn dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
