Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Camron Heyward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Borden Chantry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chantry has chosen RATM - Killing in the Name Of as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Camron Heyward!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Borden Chantry!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chantry waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Heyward.
Chantry circles away from the clinch attempt.
Chantry looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Heyward shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Heyward tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Chantry tries to lock up and control but Heyward gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Chantry is squirming around, avoiding Heyward's attempts to control the action.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Chantry avoids a series of strikes thrown by Heyward.

Chantry wants to try and get back to his feet.
Heyward postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Chantry looks a forlorn figure.
Chantry is desperately trying to improve his position but Heyward has a good base and remains in mount.
Chantry tries to lock up and control but Heyward gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Chantry is wriggling around trying to escape.
Chantry swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Heyward looking to control but Chantry is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Chantry throwing hammer fists to the chest of Heyward. What's that going to do exactly?
Heyward can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Chantry is looking to escape.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Camron Heyward dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Chantry fails to land the takedown.
Chantry throws a series of punches but Heyward avoids them all with ease.
Heyward leaves Chantry with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Heyward steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Chantry. That one must have hurt.
Chantry throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Chantry tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Heyward paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Heyward shoots for a double leg takedown but Chantry sprawls well. He's pushed Heyward's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nice takedown defense from Chantry. No joy for Heyward on that attempt.
Chantry tries to clinch up but Heyward circles away and keeps his distance.
Heyward clinches but Chantry breaks the clinch
and Chantry counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Heyward shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Chantry's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Heyward stops Chantry from standing up.

Chantry wants to sweep but no luck.
Chantry lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Heyward!
Heyward is looking to get to half guard.
Chantry lands a big elbow.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Heyward is in all sorts of trouble here.
Chantry scoring with strikes but Heyward is staying in there.

Chantry has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Chantry has hold of Heyward's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Heyward manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Chantry wants to control the pace but Heyward is squirming around nicely.
Heyward tries to hold on but Chantry postures up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Heyward is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Borden Chantry showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.

Heyward with the ground and pound but Chantry regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Chantry wants to get back to his feet.

Heyward is trying to control. Chantry wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Chantry is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Heyward's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Heyward's back!
Chantry takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Heyward tries to break free.
Heyward has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Heyward can't escape the position.
Chantry trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Heyward just trying to survive but Chantry is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Chantry throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.

Chantry has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Heyward is defending well but eventually Chantry manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Heyward has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Borden Chantry!
