PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between big black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samiro Kahric (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). black comes to the cage accompanied by my life. Kahric is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by B00M. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, big black!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Samiro Kahric!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kahric misses with a head kick.
Kahric tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kahric wants to clinch up but black keeps it at a distance.
black misses with a takedown attempt - Kahric sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
black shoots in but Kahric avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Samiro Kahric seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kahric tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
black takes a head kick and keeps coming.

It looks like big black has been cut.
black tries to close the distance and clinch but Kahric swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kahric throws a low kick but black avoids it.
Kahric stalks black and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into black's face. black staggers backwards, shaken.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A good leg kick by Kahric.
black shoots in for a takedown but Kahric shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for big black. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kahric lands a with a good body shot.
black is breathing heavily.

Kahric changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. black looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Kahric is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but black is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Kahric wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by black, who protects the arm well.

Kahric stands up and we're back to a striking position.
black avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

black fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kahric throws a sloppy head kick and black moves out of range easily.

black bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
black in side control, throwing shots but Kahric defends.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

black thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Kahric tries to buck black off but black is having none of it.

black tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no black has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Kahric is not content to let black control the position.
black tries to advance to mount but Kahric denies him.
black wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kahric keeps working.
black remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
black looks up at the clock and then as Kahric takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, black smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Kahric is trying to escape the position but black is controlling the position.

black stands up and beckons Kahric to his feet.

black rushes Kahric and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
black lands a left hand that snaps the head of Kahric backwards.

black breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
black throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Samiro Kahric dominated that round.
The cut man is working on big black's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

black misses with a takedown

so Kahric counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
black controls Kahric momentarily but Kahric frees himself.
black wants to stand and escape but Kahric is having none of it.
Kahric would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
black seems keen to control Kahric's posture.
Kahric stopping the sweep attempt from black.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

black is working hard here to advance position.

Kahric got a little sloppy there for a moment and black has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kahric has managed to get both his arms back between black's legs - danger averted.
Kahric trying to stand up but can't free himself from black's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
black fails in his attempt to clinch.

black has closed the distance and engaged Kahric in a clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from black.
black lands a body punch in the clinch.
black lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Kahric backwards.
black has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
black prevents the takedown attempt.

black breaks from the clinch.
Kahric looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
black connects with a looping right hand.

black changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kahric looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
black is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Kahric's shoulder. That is not cool.
Kahric tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but black presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Kahric is working to get back to half guard.
black pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

black gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Samiro Kahric seems to be getting the better of the standup.

black drives through with a takedown into guard.
black postures up.
Kahric avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Kahric working for a triangle but black defends it easily.

black drops back looking for a leg! Kahric is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kahric manages to kick black off! black jumps back into Kahric's guard.
Kahric striking off his back but it's not causing black any problems.
black looking to pass the guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

black moves into the clinch successfully.
Kahric has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. black avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Kahric breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - black looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kahric throws a wild body kick that black sees coming a mile off.

black changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kahric looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
black is looking to take a break and control but Kahric is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

black is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kahric has escaped the position, nice work there.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

black decides to take the fight back to the feet.
black throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

black closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
black tries to score a body lock takedown but Kahric shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
black tries to land knees in the clinch but Kahric avoids the damage to the body.
Kahric tries to pull guard but black won't allow it.
black jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kahric walks away with a smile on his face. black gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
black lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
black swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kahric.
Kahric tries to clinch up.

black shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than black was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

black get's back to his feet.

black takes the fight into the clinch.
Kahric has had enough of the clinch but black keeps him there for the moment.
black tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
black effectively controlling the action here.
With the fighters up against the cage, black throws an elbow but misses.

black lands on the inside with an uppercut.

black successfully pulls guard.
Kahric wants to pass the guard but black is keeping the position.

black has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Kahric doesn't defend quickly enough and black has managed to lock this one up! Can Kahric escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to black on a fantastic submission victory.
