Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Jensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Didier Meyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Patrick Jensen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Didier Meyer!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meyer keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Meyer with a lazy takedown attempt
and Jensen counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Patrick Jensen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice takedown defense from Jensen. No joy for Meyer on that attempt.
Jensen tries to clinch up.

Meyer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jensen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Meyer decides to stand back up. Meyer steps back and let's Jensen get back to his feet.

Jensen goes for a takedown attempt but Meyer pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Jensen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Jensen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Meyer is trying to stand.

Jensen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jensen is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Meyer preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Meyer pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Jensen stuffs the takedown attempt from Meyer. Meyer gets slowly back to his feet.
Meyer closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jensen circles away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jensen fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Meyer shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jensen's guard.
Jensen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Meyer manages to get himself to full guard.
Jensen working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Meyer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jensen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Meyer throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Jensen won't allow Meyer to sweep him here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Meyer has momentary wrist control but Jensen slips an elbow through the middle.

That was a close round but I would say that Patrick Jensen will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Meyer motions for Jensen to come forward. Meyer throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Jensen shoots in and drives through. Meyer sprawls well.
Meyer throws a right and a left that both miss.

Meyer is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jensen's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jensen's back!
Meyer has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Jensen's body.

Jensen postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

That was a close second round but I would say that Patrick Jensen will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Meyer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jensen as he avoids it easily.

Meyer goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


It looks like Patrick Jensen has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nice combo by Meyer! Oh, that's hurt him - Jensen falls to the canvas and Meyer follows him into side control.
