Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wanderlei Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Bell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Sandstorm Darude. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wanderlei Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kevin Bell!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Matheus Silva and Daniel Cesar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bell throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Silva's head.

It looks like Wanderlei Silva has been cut.
Bell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Horrible takedown by Silva or perhaps it was just good defense by Bell which made him look bad.

Bell moves into range and clinches up with Silva.
Bell is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Bell throws an elbow that misses.
Bell throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Silva blocks it with crossed arms.
Silva wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Silva wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Silva blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Bell with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Bell throws a knee to the head but misses.
Bell with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Silva wants the takedown. Bell is fighting it off but Silva persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Bell's guard against the cage.
Silva wants to stand but Bell is controlling his posture from full guard.

Silva thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bell can do anything to dispel that myth.
Silva pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bell is keeping the position for now.

Silva decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bell connects with a solid leg kick.
Bell thuds a left hand into Silva's body.
Bell feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Silva's calf.
Bell dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Kevin Bell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Bell with a nice cross.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bell as he jumps to the side.
Bell connects with a high kick.
Bell misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A head kick misses from Bell.

Bell lands a big head kick that sends Silva tumbling to the mat! Bell takes a step backwards and waves Silva back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Silva is rocked!
Bell feints a jab and as Silva dips his head, Bell unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Silva right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Silva falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Bell smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Kevin Bell!
