Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between antonio gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angelo East (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think gracie might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to hearts on fire. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Lou da Vinci and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
East stuffs the takedown.
East tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and gracie is able to avoid easily.
East shoots in and drives through. gracie sprawls well.
gracie moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Angelo East has been cut.
East throws a right hand that gracie ducks under and follows up with a left that gracie also avoids with ease.
gracie is trying hard to land a takedown here. East sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
East avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
gracie tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
East is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
gracie takes one on the button.
gracie misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
East fails with the takedown.
East gets caught flat footed, as gracie shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
gracie wants to control from the top but East keeps moving.
gracie is looking to stand up but East won't let him.
gracie is breathing heavily.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
gracie moves out of range of the strikes.
gracie throws a left and a right that both miss
and East counters with a three punch combo that has gracie backing up. gracie nods at East to acknowledge the strikes.
gracie tries to clinch but fails miserably
and East counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in gracie's guard now.
East trying to control but gracie is working from the bottom.
gracie utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
gracie is adopting a defensive guard.

gracie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
East trying to control but gracie is working from the bottom.
East wants to stand but gracie is controlling his posture from full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
East trying to control but gracie is working from the bottom.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
East shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
East can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as gracie is looking to escape.
East lands a big shot there that rocks gracie but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
East fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
gracie has his takedown stuffed
and East counters with a single leg into guard. gracie didn't expect that.
gracie will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

East stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard.

East throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as gracie works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
East pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. gracie is keeping the position for now.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
East slips a jab and a cross from gracie.
East shoots in for a double leg but gracie sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
gracie throws a head kick but East moves out of range.
gracie doesn't succeed with the takedown
and East counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
gracie avoiding damage under a succession of punches from East.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
gracie tries to roll over but East keeps him under control.
East is taking a breather. gracie says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
East frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

East is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
gracie gets caught flat footed, as East shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
gracie is pulling down on East's head to control his posture.
gracie's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

gracie pushes East off and scrambles back to his feet.

and East counters with a takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on gracie's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
gracie is looking for a sweep.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
East working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Angelo East showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! gracie's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
East tries to keep at a distance but gracie has taken the fight into the clinch.
gracie is looking for a takedown up against the cage. East gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
East is trying to break the clinch but gracie is controlling him.
East has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. gracie is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
East is trying to force a seperation but gracie has the dominant position.
East tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. gracie smiles and moves away.
East keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from gracie.

East is pressed up against the cage. gracie has hold of a leg and is looking to drag East down to the mat. East avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

East really doesn't want to stay on the ground with gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, gracie cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
East slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Angelo East is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
