Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ruslan Klinskikh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cliff Huxtable (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cliff Huxtable!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Konstantin Menshow and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huxtable with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Huxtable slaps away a takedown attempt from Klinskikh, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Klinskikh fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Klinskikh pushes Huxtable up against the cage in a clinch.
Huxtable is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Huxtable keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Klinskikh's efforts to push away.

Klinskikh lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Huxtable won't allow Klinskikh to pass to mount.
Huxtable has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Klinskikh is working away from the top position though.
Huxtable wants to improve his position but Klinskikh is controlling well.

Klinskikh is looking to advance position but Huxtable won't allow it.
Huxtable looks like he's trying to stand up.
Klinskikh thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Klinskikh is looking to take a break and control but Huxtable is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Klinskikh on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Huxtable. Huxtable obviously looking to wear him down.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Huxtable scores with a kick to the midsection.
Klinskikh is breathing heavily.
Huxtable goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Huxtable scores with a jab to the jaw.
Huxtable moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Huxtable fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Klinskikh.
Huxtable cracks Klinskikh with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Huxtable tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Klinskikh counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Huxtable avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Klinskikh.
Huxtable is staying active underneath Klinskikh, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Huxtable is looking for a sweep. Klinskikh is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The fighters are battling for position here. Huxtable manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Klinskikh throws and elbow that misses. Huxtable uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Klinskikh's guard. Nice move by Huxtable!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Huxtable has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Klinskikh is proving hard to escape from.
Klinskikh is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Huxtable content to stall in guard here.
Huxtable must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Huxtable trying to control the position from guard on top but Klinskikh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Huxtable would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cliff Huxtable dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Klinskikh shoots in for a takedown but Huxtable shows good takedown defense.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Klinskikh is defended easily by Huxtable.
Klinskikh throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Huxtable's waist but Huxtable gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Klinskikh off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ruslan Klinskikh. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Klinskikh shoots for a double leg takedown but Huxtable sprawls well. He's pushed Klinskikh's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Klinskikh shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Huxtable as he jumps to the side.
Huxtable connects with a solid leg kick.
Huxtable tries to clinch but Klinskikh is having none of it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Huxtable turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Huxtable thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Klinskikh if he has to take too many more of those.

Huxtable fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Klinskikh.
Huxtable lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.


It looks like Ruslan Klinskikh has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Huxtable goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Huxtable connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Klinskikh on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Huxtable. Huxtable obviously looking to wear him down.

Huxtable lands a big head kick that sends Klinskikh tumbling to the mat! Huxtable takes a step backwards and waves Klinskikh back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Huxtable connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Klinskikh! He's out on his feet! Huxtable rushes in and drops Klinskikh with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Cliff Huxtable!
