Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicolas Leiva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Connor might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rage Against The Machine - Know Your Enemy. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Connor instigates a clinch.
Leiva is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Connor pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Leiva jumps guard but Connor stands there with Leiva around his waist. Leiva gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Connor lands a good knee to the midsection. Leiva won't want to take too many of those.
Connor gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Leiva.
Matt Connor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nicolas Leiva.
Connor lands an elbow inside that Leiva shrugs off.
Leiva dodges an elbow strike from Connor.
With the fighters up against the cage, Connor throws an elbow but misses.
Leiva is trying to stall.
Leiva tries to pull guard but Connor holds him up against the cage and eventually Leiva drops back down to his feet.

Connor lands an elbow that stopped Leiva in his tracks for a moment.

It looks like Nicolas Leiva has been cut.
Connor lands a nice knee to the body.

Connor gets control of Leiva's arms and successfully pulls guard. Connor will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Connor wants to stand but Leiva is controlling the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Connor tries to kick Leiva off but Leiva keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Leiva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Connor keeps working.
Connor tries to get to full guard but Leiva has control of the leg.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Connor lands a big head kick that sends Leiva tumbling to the mat! Connor takes a step backwards and waves Leiva back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Leiva is rocked!

Connor tries to clinch but Leiva is having none of it.
Leiva is still on wobbly legs! Can Connor finish him?
Connor lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Leiva can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Connor and Leiva drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Connor.
