Rutecki has chosen Remember the Name as his entrance music. Damien Demented has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Demented shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rutecki as he avoids it easily.

Demented wants to pass the guard but Rutecki is keeping the position.
Rutecki wants to stand and escape but Demented is having none of it.

Demented has gone for a leg lock! Rutecki slips out almost immediately though and dives into Demented's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Demented is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Rutecki pulls his head out easily.

Rutecki decides to return to a standing position.

and Demented counters with a single leg into guard. Rutecki didn't expect that.
Rutecki is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Dementedis looking to pass into half guard but Rutecki pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Rutecki is in guard.

Demented looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Demented goes for an armbar but Rutecki turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Rutecki.

Rutecki avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Demented looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Rutecki passes into side control.
Rutecki wants to stand but Demented has his arm trapped.

Demented seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Rutecki is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
