Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Santiago Huerta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Santiago Huerta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Miller!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller is looking to clinch but Huerta is avoiding it.
Miller doesn't manage to clinch there - Huerta circles away.
Miller tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Huerta paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Miller looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Huerta keeps the fight on the outside.
Miller tries to close the distance and clinch but Huerta swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Miller moves into range and clinches up with Huerta.

Huerta wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Miller has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Miller is trying to trip Huerta. He has hold of a leg but Huerta is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Miller persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Huerta will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Miller had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Huerta is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Miller Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Huerta's back instead.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

That was a close round but I would say that Santiago Huerta will probably get the nod.

Huerta changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Miller looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Huerta just misses with a elbow thrown towards Miller's brow.

Huerta has a couple of punches blocked by Miller.
Huerta can't get the takedown.
Miller connects with a knee to the head.
Huerta is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Miller is defending well for now.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Huerta, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
