The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maximus rushes Souza and presses him up against the cage.
Maximus lands an elbow inside that Souza shrugs off.
Maximus comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Souza wants a takedown but no success here.

Maximus tightens his grip and picks Souza up, before dumping him to the ground. Souza manages to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Maximus is sitting in close to Souza's body. Souza has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Maximus is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Maximus is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Souza.
