PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Demyan Molotov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and odezzi tejas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Molotov comes to the cage accompanied by mythbusters theme song. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
tejas tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

tejas shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Molotov's guard.

Molotov had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. tejas is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Molotov Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take tejas's back instead.

tejas manages to reverse the position and now he's in Molotov's guard. Nice work there by tejas.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

tejas drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Molotov manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now tejas has Molotov in his guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

tejas got a little sloppy there for a moment and Molotov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, tejas has managed to get both his arms back between Molotov's legs - danger averted.

Demyan Molotov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
tejas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Molotov tries to avoid it but tejas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Molotov to the ground. Molotov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Molotov doesn't succeed with the takedown

and tejas counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
