Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Eddie Farnsworth and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
No luck for Santos with that takedown attempt.
Johnson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Santos.
Johnson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Johnson leaves Santos with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Johnson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Santos moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Santos sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Johnson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Johnson wants it to stay on the feet.

Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Santos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Santos is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Johnson will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Santos wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Johnson, who protects the arm well.
Santos remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
