The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva lands a big head kick that sends dated tumbling to the mat! Silva takes a step backwards and waves dated back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like ails dated has been cut.
ails dated seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
dated wants to clinch up but Silva keeps it at a distance.

Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Silva frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Silva has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of dated's body.
dated knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground.
dated is breathing heavily.
Silva lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can dated hold on?!
Silva lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Silva slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Despite being in the dominant position, Damian Silva just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

It looks like he might have it! dated tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Silva cranks the arm and dated screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from dated, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
