Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Felipe Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Maserati (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maserati comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Not Falling kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Felipe Machado has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maserati has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Machado can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Maserati had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Machado is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Maserati Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Machado's back instead.

Maserati is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Machado doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Maserati.

Maserati gets caught flat footed, as Machado shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Maserati working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Machado doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Machado manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Machado drops back looking for a leg! Maserati is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Maserati manages to kick Machado off! Machado jumps back into Maserati's guard.

Machado keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Maserati's head.

Maserati has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Machado is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Maserati.

Machado is working to tighten is grip on Maserati's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Maserati has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Machado is really squeezing tight and eventually Maserati passes out! Machado breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
