Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between brian owens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Terry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rob Terry is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, brian owens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rob Terry!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Bruno Hogan and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
owens avoids a punch combination nicely.
No joy there for Terry, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Terry keeps the fight on the outside.
owens throws a right and a left that both miss.

Terry has closed the distance and engaged owens in a clinch.
owens missing with knees to the body.
owens jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Terry walks away with a smile on his face. owens gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Terry is looking to clinch.
Rob Terry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
owens avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Terry gets a clinch.
owens fails to pull guard.
owens is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

owens is pressed up against the cage. Terry has hold of a leg and is looking to drag owens down to the mat. owens avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

owens keeps the fight on the outside.

owens shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
owens wants to stand up but Terry has a hold of him and won't allow it.
owens wants to free his trapped foot but Terry is holding on for dear life with his legs.

owens is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Terry is just riding it out for now. owens eventually gives up the hold.

Terry kicks off owens and gets to his feet.

Terry gets a takedown into half guard.
Well, if Terry is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

owens wants to get back to his feet.
owens tries to get to full guard but Terry has control of the leg.
owens is breathing heavily.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Terry in particular looking to stall.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
owens is looking to improve his position.
Terry takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Terry moves nicely into side control.

owens throws a sloppy head kick and Terry moves out of range easily.

Terry rushes owens and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
owens really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Despite being in the dominant position, Rob Terry just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
owens throws a head kick but Terry moves out of range.
Nice sprawl there from Terry as owens shoots in.

Terry takes the fight into the clinch.

Terry has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics owens uses from the top position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
owens shoots in for a takedown but Terry shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Terry drags the fight down to the ground.
Terry seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Let's hope that Terry has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Terry tightens his grip and picks owens up, before dumping him to the ground. owens manages to land in guard.

Rob Terry comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Terry has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
