Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pekka Pouta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pjotor Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pekka Pouta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pjotor Kowalski!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pouta throws a series of punches but Kowalski avoids them all with ease.
Pouta tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Pekka Pouta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pouta misses with the combination.
Pouta tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kowalski paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Pouta darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Well, if Pouta is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Kowalski is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Pouta not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pouta looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Pouta is nestled in close to Kowalski, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Pouta is looking to advance position but Kowalski won't allow it.

The fighters are battling for position here. Kowalski manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pouta trying to control but Kowalski is working from the bottom.

Kowalski is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Pouta controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kowalski looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Pouta puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Pouta is pressing down on Kowalski's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kowalski is holding on for now.
Well, if Pouta is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Pouta seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Kowalski is working to get back to half guard.

Kowalski is squirming around, avoiding Pouta's attempts to control the action.
Pouta punishing his opponent with strikes.


It looks like Pjotor Kowalski has been cut.
Pouta lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Pouta looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Pouta in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Pouta scoring with strikes but Kowalski is staying in there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kowalski checks a low kick from Pouta.
Kowalski avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kowalski misses with a takedown

and Pouta counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Pouta stands up over Kowalski, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Pouta wants to control from the top but Kowalski keeps moving.

Kowalski is breathing heavily.

Pouta drops back looking for a leg! Kowalski is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kowalski manages to kick Pouta off! Pouta jumps back into Kowalski's guard.

Pouta stands and throws Kowalski's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Kowalski is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Pouta has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Pouta controlling the position easily from mount.
Kowalski is squirming around, avoiding Pouta's attempts to control the action.
Kowalski is in a horrible position here. Pouta smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Pouta looking to control but Kowalski is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Pouta cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Pouta is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kowalski is surviving well by controlling Pouta's body position as best he can.
Pouta lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Pouta working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Pouta looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.


That has opened up Pjotor Kowalski's cut even more.
Pouta raining down shots from the mount!


The cut above Pjotor Kowalski's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Kowalski is in all sorts of trouble here.
Pouta lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Pouta tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Pouta looking to secure an arm triangle but Kowalski defends it well.
BOOM! Pouta connects with a massive shot to the dome!


Pjotor Kowalski's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Pjotor Kowalski's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Pekka Pouta!
