Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dave Pritchett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terrance Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and Andrew Berry.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pritchett tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Smith paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Pritchett displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Smith throws out the jab.
Pritchett tries to clinch up but Smith circles away and keeps his distance.
Smith displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pritchett.
Nice takedown defense from Smith. No joy for Pritchett on that attempt.
Pritchett takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Pritchett tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Smith swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Pritchett. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pritchett tries to clinch up.

Pritchett darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Smith tries to kick Pritchett off but Pritchett keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Pritchett looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Smith is looking for a sweep. Pritchett is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Pritchett prevents Smith from standing back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pritchett looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Smith is trying to stand up here but Pritchett is controlling him well.
Pritchett is taking a breather. Smith says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Pritchett tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Smith paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Smith swings for the body but Pritchett moves out of range.
Pritchett shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smith but Smith pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Smith swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Pritchett.

It looks like Dave Pritchett has been cut.

Pritchett throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Smith's waist but Smith gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pritchett off to one side.
Pritchett is breathing heavily.
Smith misses with a few strikes there.
Smith listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Pritchett moves in looking to clinch but Smith pushes him off.
No luck for Pritchett with that takedown attempt.
Smith thows a body shot but no joy.
A big left from Smith misses.
Smith leaves Pritchett with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Pritchett ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Pritchett fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pritchett tries to score a power double leg takedown but Smith sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pritchett somewhat.
Smith stuffs the takedown attempt from Pritchett. Pritchett gets slowly back to his feet.
Smith lands with a straight right. Pritchett didn't see that one coming.
Pritchett is trying hard to land a takedown here. Smith sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Smith cracks Pritchett with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Pritchett tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Smith pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Pritchett is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
