Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carl Sagan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Cragen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sagan's entrance music is Conquest of Paradise - Vangelis. A fine choice. Cragen is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Captain Cragen. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cragen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A nice combination there by Sagan.

It looks like Dan Cragen has been cut.
Nice uppercut lands for Sagan. That snapped Cragen's head back.
A decent looking cross lands there for Sagan.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cragen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Sagan wants to land a leg kick but Cragen is out of range.

Cragen shoots for a takedown but Sagan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Carl Sagan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Cragen.

Sagan lands a lovely overhand right.
Sagan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Sagan rushes Cragen with punches - Cragen moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Cragen goes down! Sagan follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
