The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wiliam moves into the clinch.

Wiliam's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wiliam is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
McStromenson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wiliam fails in his attempt to clinch.
Wiliam dives in and grabs McStromenson's left leg, looking for a takedown. McStromenson pushes down on Wiliam's head and hops out.
McStromenson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
McStromenson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

That has opened up Herman Wiliam's cut even more.
Herman Wiliam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McStromenson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wiliam tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McStromenson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
McStromenson shoots in for a takedown but Wiliam shows good takedown defense.
McStromenson is breathing heavily.
McStromenson swats away the attempt to clinch by Wiliam.
Wiliam is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Wiliam has McStromenson up against the cage in a clinch.
Wiliam tries a body shot but McStromenson blocks it.

Wiliam breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wiliam feints and then cracks McStromenson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow McStromenson down.
A slapping leg kick lands for Wiliam.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Wiliam has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics McStromenson uses from the top position.
