The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
yuqdho drives through with a takedown into guard.
yuqdho must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Subbed is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Subbed manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. yuqdho manages to get himself to full guard.
yuqdho is looking to stand up but Subbed isn't so interested in that idea.
Subbed passes into half guard.
yuqdho wants to get back to full guard.

yuqdho tries to roll over but Subbed keeps him under control.
Subbed wants to pass the guard but yuqdho is defending well.
Subbed really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

yuqdho is looking to escape.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
yuqdho tries for a takedown but Subbed sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

yuqdho throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Subbed slaps away a takedown attempt from yuqdho, before circling back to the center of the mat.
yuqdho looks gassed!
yuqdho fails with an attempt to clinch.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
yuqdho shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Subbed sprawls well. Subbed wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. yuqdho gets slowly back to his feet.
You Just Got Subbed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abdul yuqdho.

Subbed misses with a takedown
and yuqdho counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Subbed slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Subbed manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Subbed jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but yuqdho manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

yuqdho is trying desperately to improve position.

Subbed is trying to take his opponent's back.
Subbed prevents yuqdho from getting the reversal.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Subbed is looking to work his way around to yuqdho's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
yuqdho is desperately trying to improve his position but Subbed has a good base and remains in mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Subbed counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for yuqdho!
