Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Slaughter Rico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Ly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rico swinging wilding here.
Rico throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

It looks like Jimmy Ly has been cut.
Ly blocks a head kick by Rico.
Rico misses with a double jab.
Ly tries a head kick but it misses.
Slaughter Rico seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rico moves out of range as Ly throws a body kick.
Rico misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Rico gets the takedown into side control.
Ly is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Rico wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ly keeps working.
Rico throws a strike aimed at the side of Ly's head but Ly avoids it well.

Rico stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Ly throws a leg kick that misses.
Rico misses with a wild combination.

Rico shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ly sprawls well. Ly wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rico gets slowly back to his feet.
Ly fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rico avoids it really well and circles away.

Ly lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rico circles away quickly and effectively.

Ly decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Ly throws a lazy right hand but Rico sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rico shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ly sprawls well. Ly wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rico gets slowly back to his feet.
Rico is breathing heavily.

Rico closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rico lands in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ly is on top in guard.

Ly drops back looking for a leg! Rico is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rico manages to kick Ly off! Ly jumps back into Rico's guard.
Ly trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Rico lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.

Ly wanted to stand there but Rico had control of the position.
Rico scores with a couple of body punches from the bottom.
Ly stops Rico from standing up.
Ly looking to pass the guard.
Rico will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Ly is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Ly circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ly slaps away a takedown attempt from Rico, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Slaughter Rico. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rico shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ly sprawls well. Ly wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rico gets slowly back to his feet.
Ly tries to bum rush Rico with a series of wild strikes but Rico uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Ly is looking for submissions but instead, Rico has regained full guard.
Ly stopping the sweep attempt from Rico.
Rico wants to get back to his feet but Ly is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Ly drops back looking for a leg! Rico is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rico manages to kick Ly off! Ly jumps back into Rico's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ly prevents Rico from getting back to his feet.

Ly wants to control from the top but Rico keeps moving.
Ly tries to free his leg and advance position but Rico is retaining full guard.
Rico is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Rico avoids the head kick by Ly.
Ly avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ly fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ly defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rico.
Ly doesn't manage to clinch there - Rico circles away.

Ly bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Rico on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rico tries to get out of the position.

Ly is working to tighten is grip on Rico's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Rico has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Ly is really squeezing tight and eventually Rico passes out! Ly breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
