Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Alexandre Firmino and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Svensson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Svensson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Richard tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Svensson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Svensson gets a takedown into half guard.
Richard wants to improve his position but Svensson is controlling well.

Richard is looking for a sweep. Svensson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Richard wants to get back to his feet.
Svensson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Richard does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Svensson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Richard shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Svensson counters with a single leg into guard. Richard didn't expect that.
Svensson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Svensson wants to stand but Richard has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Svensson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Richard is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Svensson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Svensson wants to control from the top but Richard keeps moving.
Svensson advances to half guard.
Richard wants to get back to full guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Richard moves in looking to clinch but Svensson pushes him off.
Richard tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Svensson counters with a shoot takedown. Richard fights it but they end up in guard.
Richard looks gassed!

Svensson thows a big elbow that misses.
Svensson passes Richard's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Svensson is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Richard has managed to free his arm - good work.
Richard won't allow Svensson to pass to mount.
Richard is trying to stand up here but Svensson is controlling him well.
Richard wants to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Svensson dominated that round.
That's time! Svensson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Richard slaps away a takedown attempt from Svensson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Svensson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Richard to the mat! Richard manages to get full guard.
Svensson passes Richard's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Richard actively working from the bottom here.

Svensson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Svensson wants to pass to mount but Richard is defending the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Richard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Svensson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Svensson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Richard doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Svensson.
Richard is looking to get back to full guard here but Svensson has managed to pass to side control instead.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Svensson is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Richard won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Svensson off his unconscious opponent!
