Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vasya Tambovsky!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taalasmaa misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Tambovsky shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Taalasmaa sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Taalasmaa manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Taalasmaa misses with a takedown
and Tambovsky counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tambovsky looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Tambovsky is working for a kimura but Taalasmaa is defending it quite comfortably.

Taalasmaa is looking to control Tambovsky's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Taalasmaa avoid being mounted?
Taalasmaa tries to get to full guard but Tambovsky has control of the leg.

Taalasmaa is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Taalasmaa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tambovsky keeps working.
Taalasmaa is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Taalasmaa wants to control but Tambovsky is keeping him busy.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Tambovsky wants to improve his position but Taalasmaa is controlling well.

Tambovsky is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Taalasmaa has latched onto it... Big trouble! Taalasmaa pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Tambovsky is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Taalasmaa!
