PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Creed Rightous (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rightous kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is I'm Shipping Up To Boston. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robinson fails with the takedown.

Robinson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rightous is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Robinson, into his guard.

Rightous drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rightous jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Rightous with a lazy takedown attempt

and Robinson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rightous's guard.

Robinson stands and steps away. Rightous gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Robinson has his foot on Rightous's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rightous works his way back into a safe position though.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

and Robinson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rightous won't be happy with that.
Robinson looks up at the clock and then as Rightous takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Robinson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Robinson has hold of Rightous's leg, trying to break free but it's let Rightous lock up a rear naked choke! This could be big trouble! Robinson is turning an unusual color here… he's out! Rightous throws him to one side and jumps onto the cage to celebrate with his fans.
