The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McDaniel throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Meisselhoff was covering up waiting for the punch and McDaniel finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Meisselhoff is looking to stand up but McDaniel isn't so interested in that idea.
Meisselhoff is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells McDaniel's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
McDaniel pushes down on Meisselhoff's leg and manages to get into half guard.
McDaniel slips a nice elbow through Meisselhoff's hands, connecting with Meisselhoff's forehead.
Meisselhoff wants to improve his position but McDaniel is controlling well.

McDaniel seems to be looking for submissions.
McDaniel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Meisselhoff keeps working.
McDaniel lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
