With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Just Case!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Thiago Cunha and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Case checks a leg kick.
Ramos scores with a crisp jab that stopped Case in his tracks.

Case shoots in but Ramos avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Case is defended easily by Ramos.

Case shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ramos sprawls well. Ramos wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Case gets slowly back to his feet.

Case uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ramos.
Ramos slaps away a takedown attempt from Case, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Ramos misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Case is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ramos's half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Well, if Case is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Ramos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Case shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Case was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Ramos is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Case breaks from Ramos's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Case wants to control the pace but Ramos is squirming around nicely.

Case is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Ramos has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Ramos!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Case wants to get back to his feet but Ramos is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Ramos might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Case escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ramos gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Case is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Just Case showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Ramos throws a nice looking combination but Case bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Case tries for a takedown but Ramos sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Juliano Ramos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Case throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ramos was covering up waiting for the punch and Case finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Case stands up and waves to Ramos to follow him.
Ramos misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Case tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Ramos takes a swing at Case's ribcage but misses.

Case darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Case stalling away here and it's allowed Ramos to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Case is working Ramos over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Case pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ramos is keeping the position for now.

Case looking to sit in guard and control but Ramos gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Case is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ramos is aware though and is defending well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Case wants to sweep here but Ramos controlling him for the moment.
Ramos would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Case is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Case tries to clinch but Ramos is having none of it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Case avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ramos looks for the body kick but Case saw that one coming.

Just Case comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Case has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
