Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between CJ Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Turner comes to the cage accompanied by All I Do Is Win. CJ Turner has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, CJ Turner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Henry Morgan!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Russell Pearce and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from Turner lands.
Morgan looks to land a combination but Turner avoids it well.
Morgan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Morgan has a takedown stuffed.
Morgan fails with a takedown attempt.
CJ Turner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Henry Morgan.

Turner closes the distance and pushes Morgan back into the cage.
Morgan lands a nice knee to the body.
Turner works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Turner lands a right hand.
Morgan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Morgan throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Morgan is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Turner has managed to free his arm - good work.

Turner is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Turner is looking to escape.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Morgan is stalling here. Turner is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Morgan seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Turner has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Turner throws an elbow but Morgan slips to the side and avoids it well.
You can see the frustration on Morgan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Morgan shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Morgan wants to stand up but Turner has a hold of him and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Morgan looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Morgan closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Morgan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Turner is just riding it out for now. Morgan eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Morgan wants to work for an arm triangle but Turner is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Turner lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Morgan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Turner as he avoids it easily.
A jab from Turner finds it's way through Morgan's defenses.
Turner is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

CJ Turner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Henry Morgan.

Turner scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

and Turner cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Morgan takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

and Turner counters by moving into the clinch.

Turner pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Turner is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Turner connects with a good right hand that stumbles Morgan. Morgan circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Good standup being displayed there by Turner as he connects with a hook.
Turner feints and then cracks Morgan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Morgan down.
Turner lands with a hook. Morgan tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Morgan takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Henry Morgan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Turner thuds his right hand into Morgan's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Henry Morgan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Turner connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Morgan has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Morgan there as he acknowledges the shot.

Turner will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

and Turner counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Morgan thinking.
