Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Troll Skog!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sandro Zito!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Taro Takaoka and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zito throws a combination. Skog tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Zito looks to throw the jab but Skog is out of range.
Zito throws a lazy right hand but Skog sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
No joy there for Skog, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Zito rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Skog moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Zito tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Skog was well out of range. Poor timing from Zito.
Zito scores with a jab.
The fighters circling - Zito throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Zito looks to land a right hand but Skog moved out of range.
Zito misses with a double jab
and Skog counters with a slapping leg kick.
Zito throws a sloppy head kick
and Skog counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Zito looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Zito is working for a kimura but Skog is defending it quite comfortably.
Skog is pressing down on Zito's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Skog is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Skog is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Zito goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Skog has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Zito but great work by Skog.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Skog works to advance to full mount. Zito defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Skog can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Zito is looking to escape.
Skog swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Zito is now in Skog's guard. A big mistake from Skog there, giving up the dominant position!
Zito passes Skog's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Zito is looking to stall here but Skog recovers full guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Zito is trying to work for a kimura but Skog is defending well.

That's time! Skog's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Zito stalks Skog and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Skog's face. Skog staggers backwards, shaken.
Zito tries to bum rush Skog with a series of wild strikes but Skog uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Skog drives through and clinches with Zito against the ropes.

With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Skog just misses with a elbow thrown towards Zito's brow.

Zito throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Zito stuffs the takedown attempt from Skog. Skog gets slowly back to his feet.

Zito throws a left that rocks Skog and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Zito dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Skog regain composure!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Zito remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Oh Skog is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Zito is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Skog is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
