Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Olyanek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abominable Snowman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Abominable Snowman has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Sergei Olyanek's chin.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yuuki Gou and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Olyanek.
Olyanek keeps the fight on the outside.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Snowman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Olyanek. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Snowman tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Olyanek wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Olyanek goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Snowman turns into him and now he's in Olyanek's guard.

Olyanek had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Snowman defends it easily.

Olyanek has his foot on Snowman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Snowman works his way back into a safe position though.

Olyanek escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Snowman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Snowman is looking to work some ground and pound but Olyanek has wrist control.
Snowman lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Snowman keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Olyanek's head.

Sergei Olyanek dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Olyanek.
Olyanek shoots for a double leg takedown but Snowman sprawls well. He's pushed Olyanek's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Snowman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Olyanek paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Olyanek swats away the attempt to clinch by Snowman.
Olyanek fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sergei Olyanek. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Snowman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Olyanek swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Olyanek shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Snowman pinned against the cage. Snowman gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Olyanek shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Snowman sprawls well. Snowman wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Olyanek gets slowly back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Snowman lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Snowman cracks Olyanek with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Snowman has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Olyanek to stand back up!

Olyanek is rocked!
Olyanek loses concentration momentarily and Snowman pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Olyanek crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Snowman finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
