Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chris Rudd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rudd comes to the cage accompanied by Bob Marley - Get Up Stand Up. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rudd shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Alves manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Alves can't keep his opponent in guard - Rudd advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rudd thows a huge punch but Alves dodges it nicely.
Rudd stops Alves from getting back to his feet.

Alves makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Alves throws a right and a left that Rudd avoids nicely.
Alves stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Alves wants it to stay on the feet.
Alves lands a jab to Rudd's midsection.
Alves lands a nice hook to Rudd's body. Rudd takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Rudd is breathing heavily.
Alves lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Rudd backs up against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Alves misses with a double jab.
Rudd takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Alves ducks under a wild hook from Rudd.
Alves swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Alves connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Rudd momentarily.
Alves is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Rudd hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
