Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Frank Ellis!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nosredna misses with the combination.
Good leg kick by Ellis there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Ellis pushes Nosredna up against the cage in a clinch.
Nosredna tries for a takedown. No joy.

Nosredna is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Ellis gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Nosredna breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nosredna rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ellis moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ellis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ellis shoots in for a takedown but Nosredna shows good takedown defense.

and Nosredna connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Nosredna throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Nosredna gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Nosredna pushes Ellis off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

and Nosredna counters with a right hand to the body.

Ellis gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Ellis is working an open guard so Nosredna takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Nosredna attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Ellis has Nosredna pressed against the cage, preventing Nosredna from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Ellis fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Nosredna has Ellis pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Ellis manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Nosredna is breathing heavily.

Ellis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Nosredna decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ellis, up you get!
Nosredna will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Nosredna cracks Ellis with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Nosredna is taking a breather. Ellis says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Nosredna stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Nosredna throws a combination. Ellis tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nosredna throws a lazy head kick

and Ellis counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Ellis wants to stand and escape but instead Nosredna has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ellis is working an open guard so Nosredna takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Nosredna tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ellis swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ellis gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Nosredna shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Nosredna has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Nosredna's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Nosredna lands a big elbow.
Nosredna takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Ellis is trying to escape the mount.
Nosredna controlling the pace for now.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Sumsar Nosredna just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Nosredna moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Nosredna closes the distance and clinches.

The cut man is working on Frank Ellis's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Nosredna tries to bum rush Ellis with a series of wild strikes but Ellis uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nosredna fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ellis avoids it really well and circles away.
A right-left combo lands from Nosredna.
Frank Ellis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nosredna throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Nosredna feints and then cracks Ellis's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ellis down.

Ellis wants to pass the guard but Nosredna is keeping the position.
Nosredna is pulling down on Ellis's head. It's preventing any offense from Ellis, at least for the moment.
Sumsar Nosredna is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Nosredna has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Ellis off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

and Nosredna counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ellis won't be happy with that.

Nosredna is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Ellis's shoulder. That is not cool.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Frank Ellis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Sumsar Nosredna showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Nosredna has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
