McClane's entrance music is Die Hard - Music Video - NEW 4th Verse!. A fine choice. Smith is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: "Irish Drinking Song" - Dropkick Murphys. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McClane shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Smith as he avoids it easily.

McClane looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Smith with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McClane uses his free foot to push down on Smith's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Smith.
McClane lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

It looks like Taylor Smith has been cut.
