Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Irwin Estevez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Jericho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jericho comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Dropkick Murphys - Warriors Code kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Carlos Irwin Estevez!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ricky Jericho!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Radbod Blank and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jericho tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Estevez swivels and escapes.

Jericho drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Jericho stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Estevez swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Estevez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jericho can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jericho sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Estevez's guard.

Jericho shoots for a takedown but Estevez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Jericho is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Estevez has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Estevez!

Jericho feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That was a close round but I would say that Carlos Irwin Estevez will probably get the nod.

Jericho uses his free foot to push down on Estevez's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Estevez.

I think Jericho has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
