Seaver's entrance music is Overkill - The Goal Is Your Soal. A fine choice. John Seaver could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Derek Davison's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Davison wants to clinch up but Seaver keeps it at a distance.
Seaver tries to score a power double leg takedown but Davison sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Seaver somewhat.

Seaver closes the distance and clinches up with Davison, looking for a takedown. Seaver pushes Davison against the cage but Davison circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Davison is trying to escape the position but Seaver is controlling the position.
Seaver advances nicely into full mount.

Seaver won't let Davison get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Seaver has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Davison prevents Seaver from taking his back.
Seaver wants to control the pace but Davison is squirming around nicely.

Seaver jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Davison manages to avoid the submission attempt.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Seaver fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Davison avoids it really well and circles away.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Davison stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Davison wants it to stay on the feet.

Seaver sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Davison's guard.
Davison pushes Seaver off looking to stand but Seaver dives back in and keeps control.
Seaver takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Seaver wants to pass the guard but Davison is defending well.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Seaver wants to lay and pray for a moment but Davison keeps working.
Seaver tries to pass the half guard into mount. Davison knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Seaver throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Seaver is looking to clinch.

Seaver trying to control the action but Davison is working from the bottom.

Davison managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Seaver.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davison is not content to let Seaver control the position.

Seaver tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Seaver has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Davison is trying to buck Seaver off.

Seaver is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Davison has escaped the position, nice work there.
Davison is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Seaver asserts his dominance and retains side control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Seaver uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Davison.
Davison throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Seaver stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Davison with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Seaver checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Davison with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Davison throws a low kick but it's checked well by Seaver.
Davison throws a left and a right that both miss

and Seaver counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Seaver.

And that's the end of the fight!
John Seaver showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Seaver has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
