Pettersson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by I'm Shipping Up To Boston - Dropkick Murphys . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pettersson misses with a double jab.
Jerabek tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Jerabek is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pettersson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Jerabek looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pettersson is fending him off so far but Jerabek persists. Nope, Pettersson circles away and we're back to standing.
Pettersson throws a push kick but Jerabek slaps the foot to one side.

The fighters circle momentarily. Pettersson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Pettersson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jerabek on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Jerabek gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Pettersson.

Pettersson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Nice combo by Pettersson! Oh, that's hurt him - Jerabek falls to the canvas and Pettersson follows him into side control.

Jerabek is looking to regain half guard here but Pettersson keeps moving and retains side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jerabek is breathing heavily.
Pettersson tries to stand but Jerabek is controlling his head.
Jerabek seems to have got his legs back now.

Pettersson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Pettersson tries to bum rush Jerabek with a series of wild strikes but Jerabek uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Pettersson takes a swing at Jerabek's ribcage but misses.
Jerabek misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Jerabek counters with a shoot takedown. Pettersson fights it but they end up in guard.

Pettersson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Pettersson wants to stand but Jerabek has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Jerabek uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Jerabek throws a series of strikes that have Pettersson backpedaling.
Pettersson lands with a slapping head kick.
Pettersson walks forward, straight into a front kick from Jerabek.
Jerabek shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pettersson sprawls well. Pettersson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jerabek gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Jerabek. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jerabek bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Jerabek stands up and beckons Pettersson to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pettersson swats away the attempt to clinch by Jerabek.
Pettersson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Pettersson stalks Jerabek and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jerabek's face. Jerabek staggers backwards, shaken.

Pettersson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jerabek. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
