Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Len Compton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonny Crusher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Len Compton has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Len Compton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jonny Crusher!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crusher misses with a double jab.
Jonny Crusher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Compton scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Crusher is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Compton is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Compton drops back, looking for a kneebar! Crusher looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Crusher looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Crusher!
Compton is breathing heavily.
Compton tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Crusher wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Crusher might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Compton kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Compton closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Compton lands in his opponent's guard.

Compton had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Crusher defends it easily.
Crusher tries to free his leg and advance position but Compton is retaining full guard.
Compton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Crusher is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Compton is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Crusher is just riding it out for now. Compton eventually gives up the hold.
