The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
davis dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Bisping throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Bisping shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as davis sprawls well. davis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bisping gets slowly back to his feet.
Bisping tries to bum rush davis with a series of wild strikes but davis uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
davis fails with the takedown.
davis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bisping paws at him with a jab and circles away.
davis misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bisping.
Bisping moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Bisping moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Bisping throws a sloppy head kick and davis moves out of range easily.
Bisping lands a nice looking kick to the body. davis takes a step back to recover.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bisping wants to clinch up but davis keeps it at a distance.
davis is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

davis lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Bisping throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
davis smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

davis jabs Bisping right on the nose. Bisping blinks but takes it well.
Bisping misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
davis wants to clinch up but Bisping keeps it at a distance.
Bisping stalks davis and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into davis's face. davis staggers backwards, shaken.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
davis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bisping was well out of range. Poor timing from davis.

Bisping throws a nice looking combination but davis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

davis dips to his left and cracks Bisping with an uppercut!
Bisping fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but davis avoids it really well and circles away.
Bisping throws a push kick but davis slaps the foot to one side.
Bisping tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but davis paws at him with a jab and circles away.
davis ducks right into an uppercut from Bisping.
Bisping takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

It looks like Sam Bisping has been cut.
davis avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bisping is looking to clinch.
davis shoots in for a takedown but Bisping shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Sam Bisping has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of mike davis.

davis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and davis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Bisping looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

davis closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

davis ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. davis no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Bisping decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on davis, up you get!
davis throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Bisping stumbling backwards into the cage! Bisping bounces back off the cage towards davis, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! davis lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! davis celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
