Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, matt knuckles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Alan Kong!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
knuckles tries to clinch but Kong is having none of it.

Kong moves into the clinch.

knuckles breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
knuckles throws a sloppy head kick and Kong moves out of range easily.

knuckles closes the distance and clinches.

Kong pulls guard effortlessly.

Kong has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes knuckles off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Kong on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by knuckles. knuckles obviously looking to wear him down.
knuckles pulls out of a head kick attempt.

knuckles shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kong napping and manages to drive through into side control!

knuckles looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
knuckles tries to move into full mount but can't pass Kong's legs.

Kong is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Kong is not content to let knuckles control the position.
Kong sneaks back into half guard.
Kong is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
knuckles thows a huge punch but Kong dodges it nicely.
Kong wants to improve his position but knuckles is controlling well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

knuckles is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kong is just riding it out for now. knuckles eventually gives up the hold.
Kong should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
knuckles is breathing heavily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Kong feints and as knuckles raises his hands in defense, Kong changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kong trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Kong trying to control the position from guard on top but knuckles is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

knuckles throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

knuckles closes the distance and pushes Kong back into the cage.
Kong changes levels and goes for a takedown here. knuckles fights it off and pushes away nicely.

A frustrated look appears on knuckles's face as he tries to break the clinch.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

knuckles is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

knuckles stands up from Kong's guard - knuckles perhaps looking for a knockout.

and knuckles counters by clinching up.

Kong jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as knuckles walks away with a smile on his face. Kong gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Kong counters with a nice double leg into side control. knuckles won't be happy with that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
knuckles tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kong creates some space and throws a big elbow, but knuckles sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
knuckles is looking for a sweep.
Kong tries to move into full mount but can't pass knuckles's legs.

Kong shoots in for a double leg but knuckles sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

knuckles drops back looking for a leg! Kong is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kong manages to kick knuckles off! knuckles jumps back into Kong's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kong can do anything to dispel that myth.
Kong wants to stand but knuckles is controlling the position.
knuckles postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

knuckles is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kong is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kong has escaped and now he's on top!
