The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomi shoots in but Molina avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Molina misses with a jab, cross combination.
Molina digs a good body shot into Gomi's ribs.
Gomi gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Gomi tries to clinch but Molina is having none of it.

Gomi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Molina defends it nicely.
Takanori Gomi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Molina leaves Gomi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Drew Molina has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Takanori Gomi.
Gomi tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Molina dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Molina lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Molina throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gomi.
Gomi doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Gomi looks gassed!
Molina scores with a hook to the body. Gomi takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Molina lands a left and a right that send Gomi crashing to the mat, dazed. Molina thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Gomi is rocked!
Gomi loses concentration momentarily and Molina pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Gomi crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Molina finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
