Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Seppo Suomela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joao Goulart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Goulart is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Shaggy - Mr. Boombastic. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Goulart. No joy for Suomela on that attempt.
Suomela blocks the body kick.
Suomela tries to clinch but Goulart is having none of it.
Goulart throws out a loose jab but Suomela uses good head movement to avoid it.
Goulart doesn't manage to clinch there - Suomela circles away.
Goulart lands the left hand.
Goulart connects with a crisp jab.

and Goulart counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Goulart throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Suomela tries for a takedown but Goulart circles away easily

Goulart gets underhooks to prevent Suomela's takedown attempt.

Goulart is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Suomela is defending well for now.
Goulart lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Suomela changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Goulart fights it off and pushes away nicely.

and Goulart finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Goulart closes the distance and pushes Suomela back into the cage.

Suomela drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Suomela is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Goulart can't fight it off and eventually Suomela manages to take the fight to the floor. Goulart looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Suomela is breathing heavily.

Goulart is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Goulart is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Suomela has his hands clasped together but Goulart extends an breaks Suomela's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Goulart.
