Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Clive Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernando Augusto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Augusto has chosen adu-kein scherz as his entrance music. Clive Simmons has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmons tried to score with a low kick but Augusto checks it.

Augusto shoots in and bounces Simmons off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Simmons avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Augusto trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Simmons is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Augusto postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Simmons manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Augusto manages to get himself to full guard.
Simmons is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Augusto is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Augusto has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Simmons's face.
