The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fenomeno throws a hook but Balmuda blocks it.

Fenomeno has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Balmuda can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Fenomeno takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Balmuda is trying to stand back up but Fenomeno is controlling him

Fenomeno is trying to control the action in half guard but Balmuda is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Balmuda wants to get back to his feet.
Fenomeno is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Balmuda is just riding it out for now. Fenomeno eventually gives up the hold.
Fenomeno is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Balmuda pushes Fenomeno off looking to stand but Fenomeno dives back in and keeps control.

Fenomeno in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Balmuda tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Fenomeno!
