Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Billy wescott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Franklin has chosen Slaughterhouse-WoodStock as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy wescott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jake Franklin!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franklin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
wescott tries for a takedown but Franklin manages to get underhooks.
wescott tries to score a body lock takedown but Franklin shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Franklin gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from wescott.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy wescott. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Franklin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Franklin throws a sloppy head kick and wescott moves out of range easily.
Franklin feints and then cracks wescott's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow wescott down.
Franklin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. wescott was covering up waiting for the punch and Franklin finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Franklin avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
wescott is working an open guard so Franklin takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
wescott doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Franklin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Billy wescott has been cut.
wescott with a poor takedown
and Franklin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
wescott is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Franklin thumps wescott with a low kick.
wescott needs to keep his hands up - Franklin had a free shot at his head there.
Franklin drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks wescott right on the button. wescott goes down! Franklin follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Franklin gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jake Franklin!
