Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Secunda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raul Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Secunda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Raul Peters!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peters has a takedown stuffed.
Nice takedown defense from Secunda. No joy for Peters on that attempt.

Secunda is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Secunda stands up from half guard.
Peters wants to clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A jab lands there for Secunda.
Peters moves in looking to clinch but Secunda pushes him off.
Peters throws a right hand that Secunda ducks under and follows up with a left that Secunda also avoids with ease.
Secunda throws a push kick but Peters slaps the foot to one side.
Peters with a poor takedown

and Secunda counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Johnny Secunda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raul Peters.
Secunda is controlling the pace.
Secunda uses his free foot to push down on Peters's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Peters.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Secunda stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Secunda has managed to clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Peters tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Secunda avoids it.
Peters tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Peters doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Secunda tightens his grip and picks Peters up, before dumping him to the ground. Peters manages to land in guard.
Secunda slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Peters is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Secunda is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Secunda decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Peters, up you get!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Peters has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Raul Peters has been cut.
Peters looks gassed!
Secunda scores with a leg kick.

Secunda shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Peters is trying to defend but Secunda finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Secunda is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Peters has hold of Secunda's hands but Secunda slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Secunda has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Peters defend it? Secunda steps over the head and cranks it - Peters is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Secunda!
