The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Capuccio throws a right hand that Gomez ducks under and follows up with a left that Gomez also avoids with ease.

Capuccio tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gomez swivels and escapes.
Capuccio throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Gomez explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Capuccio shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Capuccio was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Capuccio wants to finish this one by submission but Gomez is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Capuccio.

Horrible takedown by Capuccio or perhaps it was just good defense by Gomez which made him look bad.

Gomez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Capuccio gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Capuccio drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Capuccio seems to have locked his on tight now - Gomez screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Capuccio, as he picks up the win!
