Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carnivale tries to clinch up but PJ circles away and keeps his distance.
Carnivale is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Carnivale throws a head kick that misses.
PJ slaps away a takedown attempt from Carnivale, before circling back to the center of the mat.
PJ shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Carnivale makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Carnivale has his takedown stuffed
and PJ counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Carnivale tries a head kick but it misses.
Jesus Carnivale seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

PJ drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Carnivale keeping moving, preventing PJ from controlling successfully.
Carnivale has momentary wrist control but PJ slips an elbow through the middle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
PJ pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Carnivale is keeping the position for now.

Carnivale is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and PJ dives into side control.

Carnivale is pushing PJ's head away, looking to escape. PJ manages to hold on to the position though.

PJ tries to move to mount but Carnivale blocks the move with his legs.

PJ scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Carnivale to see if he's OK.
Carnivale is pushing PJ's head away, looking to escape. PJ manages to hold on to the position though.
PJ is staying tight to Carnivale's torso, preventing him from escaping.
PJ lands an elbow.
Carnivale is trying to control PJ's posture but PJ avoids it.

PJ thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

PJ might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Carnivale kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

PJ is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Carnivale knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for PJ on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Carnivale pulls out of a head kick attempt.

so PJ counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Carnivale wants to stand and escape but PJ is having none of it.
PJ controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
PJ prevents Carnivale from getting back to his feet.

Poopdeck PJ showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

PJ wants to control but Carnivale is keeping him busy.

and Carnivale counters with a shoot takedown. PJ fights it but they end up in guard.
PJ takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

PJ is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Poopdeck PJ is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back.

I would just about give that final round to Poopdeck PJ.
