The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nukem looks to score with a jab to the body but Rangel is just out of range.
Rangel closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Rangel takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Rangel dodges the punch combination from Nukem.
Rangel doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Rangel ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nukem moves away.
Nukem throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Rangel blocks a jab.
Nukem throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nukem lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Rangel avoids a punch combination nicely.
Rangel jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Nukem throws a hook but Rangel blocks it.
Nukem showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rangel.
Nukem scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Nukem swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Rangel counters by clinching up.
Nukem is looking to break free of the clinch but Rangel has double underhooks.
Rangel throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Nukem blocks it with crossed arms.

Rangel escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rangel looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Rangel takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Rangel moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Nukem throws a shot from downtown. Rangel moves away and avoids it.

Nukem is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rangel.
Nukem fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rangel looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Nukem ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Nukem leaves Rangel with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Rangel takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
