Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Basta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ariel Sabio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Basta misses with a few strikes there.
Basta lands a nice looking body shot.

Basta throws a right hand that Sabio ducks under and follows up with a left that Sabio also avoids with ease.
Good work by Basta as he checks the leg kick.
Sabio with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Basta to score with a decent uppercut.

Sabio has a takedown stuffed.
Basta rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sabio moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Basta looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Basta throws a right and a left that both miss.

Sabio moves in looking to clinch but Basta pushes him off.
Basta misses with a few strikes there.
Basta looks to land a combination but Sabio avoids it well.
Sabio swings away with a body shot that misses
and Basta counters with a series of strikes. Sabio will be more careful next time no doubt.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Basta really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
