The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McQueen cracks Desouza with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
McQueen scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Nice sprawl there from McQueen as Desouza shoots in.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Desouza is defended easily by McQueen.
Desouza shoots in for a double leg but McQueen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Eddie McQueen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Desouza.
Desouza slips a jab and a cross from McQueen.
McQueen lands with an overhand left.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McQueen attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
McQueen throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
McQueen rushes Desouza with punches - Desouza moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Desouza goes down! McQueen follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eddie McQueen!
